According to another source, the Glazer family is not willing to give up their controlling stake in Manchester United and is expecting the club’s market cap to double.
The investment group led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital purchased the football club for $3.2 billion.
The team that has not won a trophy in five years is the subject of intense criticism by the Glazers. By the end of March, United’s net debt had grown by 11 percent to over 500 million pounds.
The biggest club ground in the country with a capacity of around 75,000 fans is not being improved by the owners.
Ratcliffe is from the Manchester area and is a fan of United.
