TOP STORY: Milinkovic-Savic on Man Utd list
According to the Telegraph, Manchester United are set to focus on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as ten Hag looks to acquire a centre-midfielder before the window closes.
The Premier League side have been unable to land a priority midfield target this summer, having failed to agree personal terms with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, but the latest indicates that they will now step up their approach for the 27 year old Lazio star as an alternative.
According to sources, United have made contact with Bianconeri about signing the player. According to United, the Bianconeri are willing to let the France international leave and he would love to join them in the premier league. Veronique has started preliminary talks with the mother.
A prolific scorer for Lazio last season, with 11 goals and 11 assists, he has previously been linked to a number of English clubs. The Serbia star is in the last year of his contract and he could be tempted to leave.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the side would be willing to consider offers in the region of 50 million to part ways with the coach. In the past, other clubs have expressed their interest in Milinkovic-Savic.

08.00 BST: Timo Werner is on the brink of leaving Chelsea to rejoin RB Leipzig, sources have told ESPN James Olley.

The clubs said on Monday that Lucas Torreira has joined Galatasaray. Torreira made nearly 90 appearances for the club after joining in July of last year. He spent the last two seasons on loan, first at Atletico Madrid and then at Fiorentina, helping them to their LaLiga title. Mertens signed with the Turkish side, on a deal through 2023.
