In September 2007, Reading and Pompey played out one of the most amazing matches in the history of the Premier League, with Pompey coming out on top in a 7-4 win.

The second highest scoring game of all time was Manchester United’s thumping win overArsenal on August 28, 2011. Wayne Rooney scored a hat-trick, as well as two others, in the heaviest defeat for the club since 1927.
It was no different on that day, as the rivalry between Sir Alex Ferguson and the Frenchman made it even more special, as the duo were frequently involved in controversial incidents on the sidelines.
