While it’s unclear who has recently tabled bids for the youngster, two clubs are keeping a close eye on his situation. The attackingMidfielder who was called up to train with England’s U20 squad last year has also been courting the League One side.
At least one Ligue 1 club is said to be considering a deal that would see the talented youngster head to France.
Wimbledon are in a strong position despite being demoted last season and will not be selling Assal this summer. Jack Rudoni was snapped up by the Terriers for a club-record fee earlier this summer, as the Dons have already been plundered by other clubs. This week, another person was lured away by a club.
Johnnie Jackson’s Dons are aiming to bounce back to League One at the first time of asking, and Assal is seen as an important part of that.

After being integrated into the senior ranks by former Dons boss Mark Robinson, Assal played a crucial role in firing Wimbledon to survival at the tail end of the 2020/21 campaign. Despite scoring eight league goals, he was not able to stop the south Londoners from slipping into the fourth tier.
The attackingMidfielder still has two years left to run on his current deal in SW19 after he penned a three-year contract in the wake of his first-team breakthrough last summer
Assal has played in all six of Wimbledon’s League Two games so far this season, with Jackson’s side currently sitting in 12th spot.
